Uniplaces offers a range of search filters to help you find the right room quickly. You can filter by price, room type, bills included, move-in date and more — and combine multiple filters at the same time.
Price filters
Set a minimum and maximum monthly rent to see only listings within your budget. The “bills included” toggle is one of the most useful filters on the platform — it shows only listings where utilities like electricity, water and internet are covered in the monthly price, making it much easier to compare true costs.
If you’re moving to Berlin or Paris where utility costs vary significantly, always check whether bills are included before comparing prices across listings.
Room type filters
Filter by the type of accommodation you’re looking for:
- Private room — your own room in a shared apartment or house
- Studio — a self-contained unit with your own kitchen and bathroom
- Shared apartment — rent the entire apartment with other tenants
- Student residence — purpose-built Uniresidences with shared facilities
Availability filters
Set your exact move-in date to see only listings available when you need them. The minimum stay filter is particularly useful for Erasmus students who need accommodation for a specific semester length — filter for 3, 6 or 12-month minimum stays to avoid listings that don’t match your timeline.
Property features
Narrow your search further with property feature filters:
- Furnished — listings with furniture included
- En-suite bathroom — private bathroom attached to your room
- Parking — listings with parking available
- Instant Booking — listings confirmed immediately without waiting for landlord approval
How to combine filters for best results
The most effective searches combine 2–3 filters rather than using all of them at once. A good starting point is location + price range + bills included — this gives you a realistic view of what’s available without over-restricting your results.
If you’re getting very few results, remove one filter at a time to identify which one is limiting your search. In high-demand cities like Lisbon or Madrid, widening your price range by €50–100 per month can significantly increase the number of available listings.
Frequently asked questions
Can I filter for pet-friendly listings?
House rules — including pet policies — are set by individual landlords and are visible on each listing page. At the moment, Uniplaces doesn’t have a dedicated pet-friendly filter, so check the house rules section on each listing before sending a booking request.
Can I search for listings with a specific landlord rating?
You can see landlord ratings on individual listings, but there isn’t a filter for minimum rating in the search results. Look for the Trusted Landlord badge and check the landlord’s review score before booking.
Do filters apply to Instant Booking listings too?
Yes — all filters apply across all listing types, including Instant Booking. You can also use the Instant Booking filter on its own to see only listings that confirm immediately.
Can I save my filter settings for next time?
Once you’re logged into your Uniplaces account, you can save your search criteria from your Personal Dashboard and return to it later without having to reapply all your filters.
