How and When Does Uniplaces Pay Landlords?

Uniplaces transfers your first month’s rent 24 hours after your tenant moves in. Subsequent monthly payments follow the schedule agreed in your booking terms.

First month’s rent — paid 24 hours after move-in

When a tenant confirms a booking, Uniplaces holds the first month’s rent securely. The transfer to your registered bank account happens automatically 24 hours after your tenant’s move-in date — provided no issues have been reported through the 24-hour safety period.

You don’t need to take any action to trigger the payment. It happens automatically as long as everything is in order. If the tenant reports a problem at move-in, payment is withheld while Uniplaces investigates — but as long as your listing was accurate, your payment will be released.

Subsequent monthly payments

After the first month, rent is paid directly by the tenant to you according to the payment schedule agreed in your booking terms. If you have Rent Collection enabled on your listing, Uniplaces handles subsequent monthly payments automatically — charging the tenant on the due date and transferring the amount to your bank account.

See How Does Rent Collection Work for Landlords? for details on setting up and managing automated rent collection.

Where payments are sent

All Uniplaces payouts are sent to your registered bank account. Make sure your IBAN and bank details are correct in your dashboard before your first booking confirms — incorrect bank details will delay your payment.

To check or update your bank details, go to your Personal Dashboard → Payments → Bank details. See How to Update Your Bank and Invoice Details for the full process.

What if a payment is delayed?

If your first month’s rent hasn’t arrived within 48 hours of your tenant’s move-in date, contact the Uniplaces support team with your booking reference. Payment delays are rare and are usually resolved quickly once reported.

Common reasons for a delay include incorrect bank details on file or a pending dispute raised by the tenant. The support team will investigate and advise on the status of your payment.

Frequently asked questions

Does Uniplaces pay on weekends?

Uniplaces does not release payments during weekends. This ensures the support team is available to handle any issues that arise before funds are transferred. If your tenant’s move-in falls on a Saturday or Sunday, your payment will be processed on the next working day.

Is there a fee deducted from my payment?

Uniplaces charges a commission on confirmed bookings. This is deducted before the payment is transferred to your bank account. The exact commission amount is shown during listing setup and in your booking summary.

Can I change my bank account after a booking is confirmed?

Yes — you can update your bank details at any time from your Personal Dashboard. Changes apply to future payments only. Contact the Uniplaces support team as soon as possible if you need to update your bank details before an upcoming payment.

What currency are payments made in?

All payments on Uniplaces are processed in euros (EUR). If your bank account is in a different currency, your bank will apply their exchange rate when the transfer arrives.
