How and When Does Uniplaces Pay Landlords?
Uniplaces transfers your first month’s rent within two business days of your tenant’s move-in date, once the 24-hour Safety Period has passed without a help request from the tenant. Subsequent rent is paid according to the terms agreed in your booking.
First month’s rent
When a tenant books your accommodation, the first month’s rent is paid to Uniplaces, which receives it on your behalf and holds it until the tenant moves in.
After the tenant moves in, they have 24 hours to report to Uniplaces if the accommodation significantly differs from the listing (the Safety Period). If no help request is submitted in that period, Uniplaces transfers the first month’s rent to your registered bank account, minus the Uniplaces commission, within two business days of the move-in date — unless different payment terms have been agreed in writing between you and Uniplaces.
You do not need to do anything to trigger the payment. If the tenant submits a help request during the Safety Period, the payment is held while Uniplaces reviews the case, and released once the review is complete.
Deposits
If a Holding Deposit applies to your booking, Uniplaces transfers it to you together with the first month’s rent.
Uniplaces does not hold any damages or security deposit you request from your tenant. Any such deposit is arranged and paid directly between you and your tenant, as agreed in your rental terms. Uniplaces is not a member of any deposit protection scheme.
Subsequent monthly payments
After the first month, rent is paid by the tenant directly to you, according to the payment schedule agreed in your booking terms.
Where payments are sent
Payouts are sent to the bank account registered in your Uniplaces landlord account. Make sure your IBAN and bank details are correct before your first booking is confirmed — incorrect details will delay your payment.

What if a payment is delayed?
If your first month’s rent has not arrived within two business days of your tenant’s move-in date, contact the Uniplaces support team with your booking reference. The most common causes are incorrect bank details or a help request submitted by the tenant during the Safety Period.
Frequently asked questions
Does Uniplaces pay on weekends?
No. Payments are processed on business days. If your tenant’s move-in falls on a weekend or public holiday, the two-business-day period starts on the next business day.
Is there a fee deducted from my payment?
Yes. The Uniplaces commission is deducted from the first month’s rent before it is transferred to your bank account.
Can I change my bank account after a booking is confirmed?
Yes — you can update your bank details in your Uniplaces landlord account at any time. Changes apply to future payments only. If you need to change your details before an upcoming payment, contact the Uniplaces support team as soon as possible.
What currency are payments made in?
All payments on Uniplaces are processed in euros (EUR). If your bank account is in a different currency, your bank applies its own exchange rate when the transfer arrives.
