How to Edit the Photos on Your Listing

Go to your Personal Dashboard, select your listing and click ‘Photos’. You can add, remove or reorder photos at any time — changes go live within minutes.

How to edit your listing photos

  1. Log in and go to your Personal Dashboard.
  2. Select your listing from the Listings section.
  3. Click ‘Edit listing’ and navigate to the Photos section.
  4. Make your changes — add new photos, remove existing ones or drag and drop to reorder them. The first photo in the list is your cover photo — it’s the first image tenants see in search results.
  5. Save changes — click Save when you’re done. Your updated photos go live within minutes.

What if a step doesn’t work?

  • Photos not uploading — check the file format (JPG or PNG only) and that the file size is within the accepted limit. Try uploading one photo at a time if a batch upload fails.
  • Reorder not saving — make sure to click Save after reordering. If the order resets, try reordering and saving in smaller batches.
  • Changes not appearing on the live listing — clear your browser cache and reload the listing page. If changes still aren’t showing after 30 minutes, contact the Uniplaces support team.

What file formats are accepted?

Uniplaces accepts JPG and PNG formats only. Photos should be at least 1024px wide to display well across all devices. Avoid heavily compressed files — low-resolution photos look poor on high-resolution screens and will reduce tenant interest in your listing.

What is the maximum file size?

Each photo has a maximum file size limit. If your photo exceeds it, compress the image using a free tool like Squoosh or TinyPNG before uploading — this reduces the file size without significantly affecting visual quality.

How long until changes go live?

Photo changes typically go live within minutes of saving. Unlike other listing updates — such as changes to price or description — photo updates do not trigger a full re-review. If your updated photos aren’t appearing after 30 minutes, contact the support team.

Frequently asked questions

Which photo appears first in search results?

The first photo in your listing’s photo order is your cover photo — the one tenants see in search results before clicking through. Make it your best photo, ideally the bedroom or the most attractive room in the property. You can change your cover photo by dragging a different image to the first position.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of photos?

Uniplaces requires a minimum of 5 photos. There is no strict maximum, but listings with 10–15 high-quality photos typically perform best. More than 20 photos rarely adds further value unless the property is very large.

Can I add a floor plan or video to my listing?

Contact the Uniplaces support team to ask about additional media options for your listing. Standard listings support photos only — the support team can advise on any available options for floor plans or video walkthroughs.

Will editing my photos affect my listing’s position in search results?

Improving your photos can positively affect your listing’s performance over time — listings that receive more clicks and booking requests tend to rank higher. Photo edits themselves do not trigger a ranking change, but the increased engagement they generate can improve your visibility.
