Publishing a listing on Uniplaces takes about 15 minutes. Add your property details, photos and availability — Uniplaces reviews your listing within 24 hours.
How to publish your listing
- Create your landlord account — go to uniplaces.com and sign up as a landlord. If you already have a tenant account, you can use the same login.
- Click ‘Add listing’ — from your Personal Dashboard, select ‘New Listing’ on the right side of the header menu.
- Fill in your property details — add the property type, size, location, amenities, house rules and a description. The more detail you provide, the better your listing performs in search results.
- Add your photos — upload a minimum of 5 photos. High-quality photos are the single biggest factor in booking decisions. Include the bedroom, bathroom, common areas and any outdoor space.
- Set your price, availability and house rules — enter your monthly rent, available dates, minimum stay and any rules around pets, smoking or overnight guests.
- Submit for review — click ‘Create listing’ to submit. Uniplaces reviews all listings before they go live.
What if a step doesn’t work?
- Photos not uploading — check the file format (JPG or PNG) and that each photo is under the maximum file size. Try uploading one at a time if the batch upload fails.
- Location not found — type the full street address including city and postcode. If it still doesn’t resolve, contact the Uniplaces support team for manual assistance.
- Submission button greyed out — a required field is likely incomplete. Scroll through each section and check for any fields marked in red.
How long does review take?
Uniplaces reviews new listings within 24 hours. During peak periods — typically July to September — review may take slightly longer. You’ll receive an email once your listing is approved and live.
While your listing is under review, you can continue to edit the details, add photos or update your availability from your dashboard. Changes made before approval are included in the review.
What happens after approval?
Once approved, your listing goes live and is visible to tenants searching in your city. You’ll start receiving booking requests from international students and young professionals. You have up to 48 hours to accept or decline each request.
To maximise your chances of receiving bookings quickly: make sure your calendar is up to date, your photos are high quality and your description is detailed and accurate. Listings with complete profiles and fast response rates appear higher in search results.
Frequently asked questions
Can I list more than one property on Uniplaces?
Yes — you can add multiple listings to the same landlord account. From your dashboard, select ‘New Listing’ to add additional rooms or properties. Each listing is reviewed separately.
Can I edit my listing after it’s been approved?
Yes — you can update your listing at any time from your dashboard. Significant changes — such as price updates or major description edits — may trigger a brief re-review before the changes go live.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
You set your own minimum stay during listing creation. Uniplaces specialises in medium-term rentals, so most listings have a minimum stay of one month. Shorter minimum stays may attract a different type of tenant.
Can I list a room in my own home?
Yes — if you live in the property, make sure to mention you’re a Resident Landlord in your listing description. If you live with family members or have pets, include this too so tenants know what to expect before booking.
