Navigli were a network of canals used to distribute goods and supplies across the city. During the day you can walk along the numerous artisan shops and vintage stores found in the shores of the canals. On the last Sunday of every month the Naviglio Pavese receives an open-air antique market. At sundown watch the neighbourhood be completely transformed, and invaded by the Italian Aperitivo. Navigli shores are the best spot to enjoy this Milanese tradition where both tourists and locals participate, filling cafes and restaurants to have the famous cocktail with snacks. During night this is the place to be in Milan.
