Lumiar is a residential neighbourhood just outside the city. It’s very close to Campo Grande or Cidade Universitária, the main campus of Lisbon. It close to the city centre, but far enough to be more quiet than many of the central neighbourhoods. Alameda das Linhas Torres is the neighbourhood’s main street and it leads straight to Cidade Universitária (University City) which is the biggest University Campus in the city’s center! It’s a very, very well-connected neighbourhood. It has many metro and bus stations nearby. Public transport is a great option whether it is by bus or metro. If you want to get to the old city, you can hop on any of the trams!
