Student Accommodation close to UCM

The Universidad Complutense de Madrid’s faculties are split between two campuses: Moncloa and Somosaguas.

Moncloa campus is in Ciudad Universitaria, where you also find UNED and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. The nearest metro station is Ciudad Universitaria (line 6).

Somosaguas campus, to the west of the city, is connected to central Madrid by the overground line 2, which stops at the University (Campus of Somosaguas).

If you are going to study at the Moncloa Campus, the best districts to find accommodation are Chamberí, south of Ciudad Universitaria, and Tetuán, in northern Madrid. Within these districts, the neighbourhoods better connected with the UCM are:

Chamberí
Gaztambide. 3 minute journey to Ciudad Universitaria (Faculty of Information Sciences from Moncloa with the metro line 6.
Arapiles. It takes only 26 minutes to reach Ciudad Universitaria from Quevedo station (line 2).
Vallehermoso. From station Guzmán el Bueno, the journey takes about 12 minutes, 5 by metro (line 6) and 7 on foot.

Tetuán
Cuatro Caminos. Metro line 6 also stops at Cuatro Caminos. The total journey takes about 25 minutes.
Bellas Vistas. From Avenida Pablo Iglesias you can take the bus number 132, which will leave you at the UCM in 30 minutes.

If you are going to study in Somosaguas campus, the best option to look for accommodation is Pozuelo de Alarcón, north of the campus. The overground line 2 is the best way to reach Somosaguas and the ride to Aravaca station only takes about five minutes. Pozuelo de Alarcón is also perfectly connected to the center of Madrid. The train line C10 connects Pozuelo with Atocha station in just 20 minutes.
