The Isle of Dogs is a small (maybe ridiculously named) piece of land that sticks out into the Thames. It is London's financial heart, a neighbourhood build up of steel and glass. The Isle of Dogs is mostly fabulously wealthy. Housing on the Isle of Dogs is expensive, as most of it is within a very short work of many of London's financial institutions. Expect to pay around £150-220 per week for a room. Most properties in the area are either old Victorian terraces or swanky riverside apartments. Living on the Isle of Dogs is convenient for students of Greenwich University, Queen Mary University, and the University of East London. It is well served by the many stations on the Docklands Light Railways such as: West India Quay, Heron Quay, South Quay, Crossharbour, Mudchute and Island Gardens, as well as stations like Canary Wharf (DLR/Jubilee).
