Living close to Bocconi

Bocconi University is a private higher educational institution specializing in Economics, Business, Social and Legal Sciences. It is a university of excellence in Italy in the field of Business and Marketing, and also has international prestige, both European and worldwide. Its prestige is due not only to recent teaching methods, but also to collaboration with more than 170 universities in 48 countries around the world.

The original university buildings were built in the late 1930s, following the Italian rationalist style of the time, and are located at the crossroads between via Sarfatti and Via Bocconi. Currently the campus extends to via Röntgen and Viale Bligny. The most recent buildings include the Velodromo (oval and four-storey) and the old building that won the World Building of the Year award at the World Festival of Architecture held in Barcelona.

Finding student housing near Bocconi is not complicated. The area where the university is located, between Porta Romana and Porta Genova, has rooms for both students and professionals. If you are looking for a comfortable and quiet place check out rooms in Viale Bligny. If, on the other hand, you prefer to be in a lively neighborhood and close to everything, look for Navigli, full of bars with one of the best nightlife in Milan.

There is absolutely no lack of places to have fun and to enjoy in the surroundings of the university, since it is one of the areas with more restaurants and bars in the city.

If you prefer to live in another area you can search in any neighborhood of Milan that is well connected to the university; Although, if you have a bicycle, the Bocconi will never be far from home.

HOW TO GET TO BOCCONI

The most convenient means of transport to get to Bocconi University are tram number 9, which runs through Viale Bligny and arrives in a few minutes to Porta Romana (yellow line, M3) or Porta Genova (green line, M2) . Tram 15 is also a good option, as it leaves the center, passes through Corso Italia and near via Castelbarco. Tram 24 leaves from Piazza Duomo, passes through Ripamonti and stops in via Bellezza, a few minutes from the university. Thanks to the large number of stops near the Bocconi, you can enjoy all the advantages of living in this area without giving up everything Milan offers.
