Autonomous University of Madrid

Madrid, Spain

UAM (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid) is the Autonomous University of Madrid. UAM, or la Autónoma, is ranked as the top university in Spain and is a must for anyone with a passion for Law, for which it is the most prestigious school in Spain - King Felipe VI is a UAM Law Alumni. Despite being in rural Madrid, student life around here is vibrant: there are several festivals throughout the year, especially during Spring. The fact that it's outside Madrid's centre means that there's more room for university facilities. UAM boasts its own halls of residence, a sports centre, language services, and even an infant school and primary school - good for those of you who are young parents. To get to la Autónoma from the centre of Madrid, you have to take the C4 train towards Alcobendas, or the 714 bus leaving Tetuán.
