Located between the city centre and the river is Lordelo do Ouro, a neighbourhood in Porto. In this neighbourhood low income houses share the space with luxurious hotels and condos. This is a traditional and very quiet area where most houses have a view to the Douro River. In the river front, are boats that do the crossing to Afurada, another typical neighbourhood where can taste fresh fish and seafood. Serralves is located in Lordelo do Ouro. The Serralves Foundation comprises a beautiful garden and a contemporary art museum. Serralves is where some of the work of Miró is exposed. It is definitely worth a visit.
