Barajas is a district in Madrid located outside the city centre. Due to its nearness to the Madrid Barajas airport, it is a zone full of services, such as restaurants and hotels. This makes it the perfect location or traveller lovers, in a few minutes you can reach the airport. The district preserves few landmarks from its past. One of them is the San Pedro Apóstol church, a small temple made of brick in a traditional style with a tower. There is also Zapata’s Castle, recently restored. The area have some parks where you can enjoy the sunny days: Campo de las Naciones – one of the biggest in the city, decorated with beautiful sculptures, and El Capricho – 18th century gardens.
