Alcalá is an historical neighbourhood. Sinceits foundation, the University has been used as a model for other universities around the world. The historical centre and the Univercity os Alcalá are considered a World’s Heritage Site by UNESCO. Cervantes, the author of Don Quixote, was born in here.
