São Bento is the center of political life in Portugal. The National Assembly is located in here, and constitutes a postcard of the city. The main thoroughfare Rua de São Bento connects the Palácio de São Bento with Largo do Rato and is a primary link to the Santos, Estrela and Amoreiras districts. The area is very nice to enjoy summer days as it has a lot of green areas and parks where you can have a delicious ice-cream (from Nanarella, of course). This is the ideal area for foodies as it has lots of pastries shops and restaurants. It's worth finding the many small restaurants in this area, starting with the Café de São Bento. The area has good transportation links with many bus routes crossing the neighbourhood

With the cold beer at a local park in a summer day.
Life around here is very enjoyable.
Lisbon is a laid back city that likes to eat, drink and dance.
It has all the culture and events of a European capital, but it’s a city you can enjoy at a much slower pace. Make the most of the awesome weather at the beaches, chilling at riverside cafés or sunbathing in the city’s gardens.
From enjoying a few beers in the streets, to crazy Erasmus events in bars and clubs, there are parties to go to every night.
