Pena is a nice neighborhood in the heart of Lisbon. It combines the typical old Lisbon with a beautiful green area, making it a great place to live. Nearby you have the Avenida da Liberdade. Even though it’s Lisbon’s most expensive shopping avenue, it’s a great place for a walk, enjoying one of the most beautiful spaces in Lisbon. From Pena you can get anywhere in the city in a matter of minutes. You can take plenty of buses, the subway, and even the trains Rossio, all of them very close. It’s a busy neighbourhood during the day, because it’s near the city centre. The locals are mostly older people who have lived here for a long time. If you want to spend the night out, you’re a 15 minute-walk away from places like Praça da Alegria, Principe Real and for 20 minutes away from the infamous Bairro Alto (street party capital of the world).
