Even though it’s Lisbon’s most expensive shopping avenue, it’s a great place for a walk, enjoying one of the most beautiful spaces in Lisbon. From Pena you can get anywhere in the city in a matter of minutes. You can take plenty of buses, the subway, and even the trains Rossio, all of them very close. It’s a busy neighbourhood during the day, because it’s near the city centre. The locals are mostly older people who have lived here for a long time. If you want to spend the night out, you’re a 15 minute-walk away from places like Praça da Alegria, Principe Real and for 20 minutes away from the infamous Bairro Alto (street party capital of the world).

It has all the culture and events of a European capital, but it’s a city you can enjoy at a much slower pace. Make the most of the awesome weather at the beaches, chilling at riverside cafés or sunbathing in the city’s gardens.
