Lumiar is a residential neighbourhood just outside the city. It’s very close to Campo Grande or Cidade Universitária, the main campus of Lisbon. It close to the city centre, but far enough to be more quiet than many of the central neighbourhoods. Alameda das Linhas Torres is the neighbourhood’s main street and it leads straight to Cidade Universitária (University City) which is the biggest University Campus in the city’s center! It’s a very, very well-connected neighbourhood. It has many metro and bus stations nearby. Public transport is a great option whether it is by bus or metro. If you want to get to the old city, you can hop on any of the trams!
The community is very welcoming and family-based. Your (probably) friendly neighbours are responsible for setting the domestic environment here.
Don’t miss the home stadium of Sporting football club, one of the city’s two main football clubs. A derby match is a massive event and a true must-watch!
The great gardens of Quinta das Conchas are cool. They’re in the centre of neighbourhood and gather spots to chill out. It’s great if you’re looking for an outdoor spot! Lifestyle
The lifestyle is very residential, very homely. There are a lot of families living around each block. Locals

It has all the culture and events of a European capital, but it’s a city you can enjoy at a much slower pace. Make the most of the awesome weather at the beaches, chilling at riverside cafés or sunbathing in the city’s gardens.
From enjoying a few beers in the streets, to crazy Erasmus events in bars and clubs, there are parties to go to every night.
