Navigli is one of the most visited and photographed areas of Milan. His humble origins can still be seen in small details such as the old laundry in the Lavandai alley, where he washed his clothes by hand. The recent artistic past of Navigli can be seen in its numerous and beautiful courtyards, whose galleries can be seen pictures of ivy and vases with flowers.
Today the neighborhood offers the best of itself at night, when the locals open the doors and tables begin to appear on the banks of the Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese. Navigli has places for all tastes, from bars to take the aperitif to elegant restaurants. In the surroundings you will find small art galleries and the MUDEC, the museum of culture.

HOW TO GET TO NAVIGLI
The neighborhood of Navigli occupies an area that goes from the dock, near the station of Porta Genova (green line M2) to the bypass, which arrives trolleybus 90 and 91, and near the Romolo stop (green line, M2). It is connected to the center by tram number 3, which passes through Piazza XXIV Maggio el Corso San Gottardo, or also with the picturesque tram number 2, which runs through the Alzaia del Naviglio Grande. Trams 9 and 10 connect Porta Genova and the central station, via Porta Venezia and Sempione. Do not worry if you do not find student accommodation in Navigli that suits you, because it is very easy to get there.

This neighborhood houses the headquarters of some of the most important universities in Milan, but thanks to an efficient public transport system, it is convenient to find accommodation in Navigli for almost all students.
Luigi Bocconi Business University
It is one of one of the best Italian and international universities to study Business Management, Business and Marketing. It is situated to the east of Naviglio Pavese.
Free University of Language and Communication of Milan (IULM)
The IULM is the university of reference in linguistic and communication studies. It is located very close to the Romolo stop.
Catholic University of Milan
It is one of the most prestigious private universities not only in Milan but throughout Italy. It is located next to the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio, patron of the city, halfway between the basin and the center.
New Academy of Fine Arts (NABA)
The Academy of Fine Arts, Design and Fashion is commonly known as NABA and is located between the two Navigli, a short distance from the Tortona-Savona area that welcomes the Fuorisalone every year.
