When your account is deleted, Uniplaces removes the following personal data:<\/p>\n
Not all data can be deleted immediately. Financial and legal records are retained for the period required by law<\/strong> \u2014 typically 7\u201310 years depending on the country. This includes transaction records, invoices and any documentation required for tax or legal compliance purposes.<\/p>\n This retention is required by European financial regulations and is not optional \u2014 it applies regardless of your deletion request.<\/p>\n Uniplaces is required to complete account deletion within 30 days<\/strong> of receiving a valid request under GDPR. In practice, most deletions are processed faster than this. You’ll receive a confirmation once your account has been fully deleted.<\/p>\n No \u2014 once your account is deleted, it cannot be restored. Your booking history, saved listings and all personal data are permanently removed. If you want to use Uniplaces again in the future, you’ll need to create a new account from scratch.<\/p>\n It’s not recommended to delete your account while you have an active booking \u2014 you’ll lose access to your booking details, documents and the ability to contact your landlord through the platform. Complete or cancel your booking first, then request deletion.<\/p>\n You don’t need to delete your account to stop emails. Go to Account settings in your Personal Dashboard and update your notification preferences to reduce or stop marketing emails. You can always reactivate them later.<\/p>\n Uniplaces processes your data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and GDPR obligations. Your data is not sold to third parties.
