Rent Collection is a Uniplaces feature that automates your monthly rent payments. Once your landlord activates it on their listing, Uniplaces charges your card automatically each month and transfers the amount directly to your landlord<\/strong> \u2014 no manual transfers, no reminders needed.<\/p>\n Not all listings use Rent Collection \u2014 it’s enabled by the landlord on a per-listing basis. If it applies to your booking, you’ll see all programmed payments clearly during checkout before you confirm.<\/p>\n Rent Collection has three distinct payment moments:<\/p>\n Once your landlord accepts, Uniplaces automatically charges your first month’s rent plus the one-time Uniplaces service fee. This happens immediately on booking confirmation.<\/p>\n On the day you move in, you pay any additional fees directly to your landlord \u2014 including the security deposit and admin fee, if applicable. These are paid directly and are not processed through Uniplaces.<\/p>\n On move-in day you are also required to upload a video of the property to your Personal Dashboard<\/strong> under the Bookings section. This video documents the condition of the property on arrival. A second video is required when you move out, documenting the condition before departure. These videos protect both you and your landlord in case of any dispute.<\/p>\n Every month, Uniplaces automatically charges the agreed rent amount from your saved payment method and transfers it to your landlord. You don’t need to do anything \u2014 the process runs in the background on your payment due date.<\/p>\n You’ll receive a payment confirmation email each month. You can also view all payments \u2014 paid, upcoming and scheduled \u2014 at any time in your Personal Dashboard under your booking details.<\/p>\n Yes \u2014 you can update your payment method at any time from your Personal Dashboard. Make sure your card always has sufficient funds on your payment due date<\/strong> to avoid failed payments. Keeping your payment details up to date ensures your rent is collected without interruption.<\/p>\n Go to the Bookings<\/strong> section of your Personal Dashboard<\/a> to see a full overview of your payment history. Each payment shows its current status \u2014 paid, upcoming or failed \u2014 giving you a clear picture of your rental payments at all times.<\/p>\n If a monthly Rent Collection payment fails, Uniplaces sends you a notification straight away. Check your card details and available balance first. If your card has expired, update it in your Personal Dashboard before the next retry attempt.<\/p>\n Repeated failed payments may affect your tenancy.<\/strong> If the issue continues, contact the Uniplaces support team<\/a> as soon as possible.<\/p>\n No \u2014 Rent Collection is activated by the landlord per listing. If your booking includes it, you’ll see the programmed payments during checkout before you confirm. If you’re unsure whether your listing uses Rent Collection, check your booking details in your Personal Dashboard.<\/p>\n The payment date is determined by your move-in date and the terms of your rental agreement. Contact the Uniplaces support team if you need to discuss your payment schedule.<\/p>\n If your stay is extended through Uniplaces, Rent Collection continues automatically for the extended period.
