When a landlord accepts your booking request, Uniplaces automatically processes two charges:<\/p>\n

It covers the platform’s services \u2014 verified listings, payment protection, the UniTrust Guarantee, and customer support throughout your stay.<\/p>\n The service fee is not a fixed amount<\/strong> \u2014 it is calculated based on your first month’s rent and varies by listing. You can see the exact service fee amount on the checkout page before you send your booking request. No surprises at payment.<\/p>\n Some listings include an admin fee in addition to the service fee. This is a separate charge set by the landlord or property manager \u2014 it covers their administrative costs for processing your booking.<\/p>\n Not all listings have an admin fee. When one applies, it is displayed on the listing page alongside the monthly rent and service fee, so you can see the full cost before booking. The platform is not involved in ongoing rent payments unless you use the Rent Collection feature.<\/strong><\/p>\n If your landlord has enabled Rent Collection<\/a>, your monthly rent is charged automatically through Uniplaces on your due date. This removes the need for manual transfers and ensures a clear payment record.<\/p>\n No \u2014 the Uniplaces service fee is non-refundable regardless of when you cancel or which cancellation policy applies. If you cancel your booking, any refund you receive applies to the rent portion only. The service fee is always retained by Uniplaces.<\/p>\n No \u2014 Uniplaces does not charge tenants a monthly subscription or ongoing fee. The service fee is paid once at booking, and that’s it. After that, you deal with your landlord directly for ongoing rent.<\/p>\n Yes \u2014 the full cost breakdown, including the first month’s rent, service fee, and any admin fee, is displayed on the booking summary page before you submit your request. Nothing is added after you confirm.<\/p>\n All transactions on Uniplaces are processed in euros (EUR).
