Although you live at the other end of the neighborhood, the journey to the Menéndez Pelayo on foot does not exceed 15 minutes. In addition, the center is probably the liveliest area of the city and is full of bars, restaurants and nightlife. If you prefer not to live in the center, but do not go too far from the university,

Extramurs is a good option. It is the district that is located to the west of Ciutat Vella and to the southwest of the old wall. The journey to the faculty can last between 20 and 30 minutes and always includes a last section on foot. One of the options is to go on bus 71 to Plaza de la Reina and then walk. However, if you find university accommodation in the north of the district (near the Botanical Garden or Passeig de la Petxina) you can travel on foot in just 15 minutes.

To the north of Ciutat Vella is another recommendable district where to look for rooms for students in Valencia. It is the Saiidia (or Zaidia), a mainly residential area with good connections by public transport. From the south side of the Saiidia (near the Jardines del Turia) you can walk to Menéndez Pelayo International University in about 12 minutes, making it very convenient. If you live in other points north of the district, the total journey to the university can last about 20-25 minutes and includes a section by public transport (bus 26, tram 4) to points near the Turia Garden, which you should cross Walk to the Plaza del Carmen, where the university is located.
