In the ISCTE campus you'll find three common buildings, featuring a bright and peaceful library, many canteens (where you can have tasty and cheap meals) and an enormous outdoor open space for you to enjoy the sunny days and the night parties.
It is nearby the biggest student campus – Cidade Universitária and residential areas such as Entrecampos, Alvalade, Saldanha, Marquês de Pombal and Campo Pequeno. Within walking distance there is the big garden Campo Grande which is known as one of the students’ meeting points. Here you can find places to study (like Caleidoscópio) and an excellent green space to relax.
Getting to the university by public transports won’t be difficult for you since there are 2 close metro stations - Cidade Universitária and Entrecampos (both from the yellow line), bus stations and the train station in Entrecampos.
As you can see, the campus is very well located and moreover it is surrounded by a supermarket (Continente) and a lot of typical restaurants and coffee shops for you to take advantage of!
ISCTE was founded in 1972 and it has four faculties, being ISCTE Business School the most well-known. The University has a very strong international environment with +800 foreign students and +50 partnerships with recognized international universities accredited by AACSB, AMBA or EFMD. The modern facilities and the awesome students’ environment are everything you need to have an amazing adventure here.
Uniplaces is creating a trusted brand for students everywhere. We believe in making finding accommodation better. We want students to have a great experience when they book a place, when they move in, and every day that they spend there. At the same time, we're always looking for trustworthy landlords who can help us deliver this great experience. We've moved the whole process of finding, choosing and booking online. It's our way of turning an old-fashioned market upside-down. It's our way of changing the world.
You can check your booking details — such as your booking ID, official move-in and move-out dates, landlord contact information, cancellation policy, and other rental conditions — on the booking confirmation email we sent you or on your Personal Dashboard.
To access your Personal Dashboard, log in to your Uniplaces account, click on your name on the top right-hand side of your screen, and click on "Booking requests".
This is where you can find everything about your booking.
The first month's rent is paid directly to Uniplaces and is transferred to your landlord 24 hours after you move in. After that, your monthly rent has to be paid directly to your landlord.
Remember that you also need to pay a security deposit and admin fee (if applicable) directly to your landlord on the day you check in.
Please get in touch with your landlord to agree on how you're going to pay your monthly rent.
Uniplaces strives to make sure the photos and information you see in our listings accurately represent what you will find when you arrive in your new home. We created the 24-hour safety period to protect our students and to make sure they are compensated in case something goes wrong.
In the unlikely and unfortunate event of arriving only to find a place that looks completely different from the one you booked, or if it has different conditions from the ones that were included in the listing, please let us know within 24 hours of your move-in date so we can investigate and withhold the rent transfer to the landlord.
Are you having a problem with your move-in?
We’re very sorry that you’re having an issue with your move-in. If you’re still within the first 24 hours of your official move-in date, you can easily file a complaint on your dashboard. Simply follow these steps:
We will answer you back as soon as possible to help you in any way we can.
Important: Please keep in mind that we can only help you within the 24 hours of your move-in date, so it is essential that you report your issue within this time. After these 24 hours, your first rent is transferred to your landlord, and you won't be able to receive a refund.
Tip: Make sure to collect evidence (photos and videos) to support your complaint, as we will request it at a later stage. Also, try to discuss your issue with your landlord before filing a complaint so they are given the opportunity to fix it.

Sometimes a booking might be cancelled unexpectedly. It may be related to your landlord or to the place you booked. Whatever the reason, you will be notified of the cancellation immediately.
If either your landlord or Uniplaces cancels your booking, you will be fully refunded, including the first month's rent, the Uniplaces service fee, and any deposit you may have paid. Depending on your payment method and bank account, the amount you paid should reach your bank account within 10 business days.
You might be contacted by a Uniplaces agent to help you find a new place. We will suggest similar places to the one you booked and make sure they match your original preferences.
In case no other similar place is available for the dates you selected, try editing your preferences. The less limited they are, the more likely you are to find a great place!
