Living near Sagrada Familia

The Sagrada Familia neighborhood is one of the most touristic areas of Barcelona thanks to the amazing work of Gaudí, which attracts thousands of visitors every day. It is a very central neighborhood, located to the north of the Diagonal Avenue that houses several green areas, such as the Plaça de Gaudí and the Industry Gardens.

UNIVERSITIES

Living in the area of Sagrada Familia is especially convenient for those studying in the main building of the University of Barcelona, as the metro (line 2) takes only 12 minutes. However, the neighborhood's central location makes it easy get to any of the other major universities. If you study at the Polytechnic University (North or South Campus), you can choose to travel by bus (40 minutes by bus 33) or subway (35 minutes by lines 5 and 3). The metro line from Sagrada Familia to Pompeu Fabra University takes 27 minutes (line 2 and then line 3). Those who study at ESADE can get there by bus (line 34) and it takes less than 50 minutes. Finally, the journey to the Autonomous University of Barcelona takes about 55 minutes (line 5 of metro to Diagonal and then line S2 of Cercanías).
