Sants is a neighborhood located in the south of Barcelona that borders with Les Corts to the northwest and Hospitalet de Llobregat to the south. It is a quiet residential area that houses various hotels and a large shopping area in the vicinity of Calle Sants. However, it is not a touristy neighborhood, but close to the center and well connected to the universities, making it particularly convenient for university students. A picturesque and original place you can visit in Sants is the Parque de l'Espanya Industrial, located near the train station.
The Sants district is one of the best to live in if you study at the University of Barcelona, as it only takes 16 minutes to arrive by metro with line 3. The Polytechnic University is located about eight minutes further walk. It is also an ideal area to live for those who study at Pompeu Fabra, as the metro (line 3) takes you there directly in only 26 minutes. From Plaça del Center you can reach ESADE in 31 minutes by metro (line 3). From Sants train station you can travel to the Autonomous University in 50 minutes (line 4 of metro to Diagonal and line S2 of Cercanías from Provença).

Uniplaces is creating a trusted brand for students everywhere. We believe in making finding accommodation better. We want students to have a great experience when they book a place, when they move in, and every day that they spend there. At the same time, we're always looking for trustworthy landlords who can help us deliver this great experience. We've moved the whole process of finding, choosing and booking online. It's our way of turning an old-fashioned market upside-down. It's our way of changing the world.
At Uniplaces we make the process of booking an apartment as easy as possible for both tenant and landlord.
That's why we have our own team of professional photographers that verify our properties and pick our landlords carefully in order to save time on viewings: we think it’s old-fashioned and time-consuming.
You can look at forty different apartments on our platform in the same amount of time that it takes to see a room.
The pictures you see here haven’t been photoshopped, so they’ll be really accurate.
If you’ve still got any doubts, we’ll keep the money that you transfer us until 24h after your move-in date.
If something’s not exactly what you saw online, we’ll help you move somewhere else and return your money.
We can only give you the contact details of your landlord after your booking is accepted. But we can guarantee that Uniplaces chooses the landlords it works with very carefully.
Besides, we’ve had students whose favourite part was living with a local!
Landlords and host families can be great city guides, help you out with translations and even become your friends.
As soon as your booking is accepted, you're given the landlord’s contact details. Then, you can discuss all details directly with them, such as when you’ll be moving-in.
Students move in and out at different times, so your flatmates might change during your stay.
It’s a great opportunity to make new friends!
We personally speak to students who we place in Uniplaces apartments and are sure we will find the right place for you as well!
At the bottom of the property page, you have a calendar where you can see the availability of that room/apartment, according to the landlord.
But if you’re still unsure about that we’re happy to help.
Tell us your move-in and move-out dates and we will double-check if the place is available for you!
There are two different types of deposits: the Holding and Security deposits.
By clicking on “Deposit” at the bottom of the offer page you will get more information about each type of deposit.
In general, the deposit is paid to cover for any potential damages that may occur during your period of stay or will be used as rent compensation in case you leave earlier than originally planned.
If no damages occur and you leave on the agreed move-out date, your deposit should be refunded by the landlord in a way you both agree on.
