Sants is a neighborhood located in the south of Barcelona that borders with Les Corts to the northwest and Hospitalet de Llobregat to the south. It is a quiet residential area that houses various hotels and a large shopping area in the vicinity of Calle Sants. However, it is not a touristy neighborhood, but close to the center and well connected to the universities, making it particularly convenient for university students. A picturesque and original place you can visit in Sants is the Parque de l'Espanya Industrial, located near the train station.
UNIVERSITIES
The Sants district is one of the best to live in if you study at the University of Barcelona, as it only takes 16 minutes to arrive by metro with line 3. The Polytechnic University is located about eight minutes further walk. It is also an ideal area to live for those who study at Pompeu Fabra, as the metro (line 3) takes you there directly in only 26 minutes. From Plaça del Center you can reach ESADE in 31 minutes by metro (line 3). From Sants train station you can travel to the Autonomous University in 50 minutes (line 4 of metro to Diagonal and line S2 of Cercanías from Provença).
