Area Description
Once one of London’s most derelict areas, as pictured in Dickens’ Oliver Twist, King’s Cross was subject to a huge redevelopment project that has transformed most of its run-down industrial buildings. Now home to the British Library, King’s Place, and multiple other institutions, the neighbourhood has become one of London’s cultural highlights.

King’s Cross-St. Pancras train station has just been through a major structural overhaul and is now not only one of Europe’s flagship train stations, but also where J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter boards the train to Hogwarts on platform 9¾, making it one of the most visited landmarks of the area.
