Moved out in November 2018 · 20 to 29 years · PostgraduateSTAY AWAY! The location of the flat is great, though to be fair it's pretty noisy both day and night, and it never gets direct sun so it's pretty cold and dark. The room is nice - I rearranged the furniture to have a lot more space but had to put it all back when I left. There's a good amount of storage, the desk is OK, and the little chairs are nice to sit and read. The lightbulbs are a lovely touch, and the room is very cosy on the whole. The living room/kitchen/hallway is very small and has a very bad layout for socialising - it's difficult to spend time with people in the flat, as the space is oddly disjointed. All the details (exposed brick, concrete finish etc) that you see in the photos are fake, as are the plants. The bathrooms are good, and it's especially nice to have two. The kitchen is small and poorly equipped - there are constant problems with the fridge/freezer, the kettle is disgusting, as of when I left there was one frying pan and one giant saucepan, to be used for all cooking between four people. The landlord graciously bought one sharp knife after several weeks of complaints from every tenant. There is a lot of convenient kitchen storage though. None of your complaints or requests will ever be dealt with in an honest or timely manner. The landlord views this flat, including the rooms, as their exclusive property to which you're just renting limited access rights. You won't be able to feel at home here, and after a very short time you'll realise that you've wasted your money on a room that absolutely was not worth it.
